One dead, one injured after moped crash

GREELEYVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Greenville man has died after crashing his moped Friday afternoon.

According to a report from the Greenville County Coroner's Office, Marvin Clark, 55, died at Greenville Memorial Hospital after he was transported due to his injuries.

Clark's moped reportedly ran a stop sign and struck the side of a car at the intersection of Traction Street and Mason Street shortly after 1:00 p.m.

Authorities said a woman was riding with Clark on the moped at the time of the crash.  Her injuries were not life threatening.

The Coroner's Office reports that both Clark and his passenger were not wearing helmets at the time of the crash.
