TRAVELERS REST, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Travelers Rest High School player was injured during Week 2 of high school football.

Travelers Rest's athletics department posted on Twitter Friday night after guard Daniel Clark was knocked down with "a serious injury" during the game against Walhalla.

Clark reportedly gave a thumbs up while being carted off the field on a stretcher. He was complaining of neck pain.

Later in the evening, the school tweeted, saying Clark's first x-ray did not show any fractures.

They asked Devildog Nation to send prayers his way and is expected to deliver more updates soon.

Saturday morning the school tweeted that Clark had no fractures in his neck and no concussion. They expect him to make a full come back.
