Deputies said a man was charged after leading a Spartanburg County deputy on a chase along US 176 on Wednesday morning.

The deputy said he clocked James Glenn, 25, driving 90 miles per hour in a 45 mile per hour speed zone.

Glenn was driving a red 2010 Dodge Challenger.

As the deputy tried to catch up to the vehicle, he said Glenn increased speed and made an abrupt lane change, then drove through a grass median and turned back the other direction.

Glenn reportedly turned left onto Red Hill Farm Road and had to stop at the dead end, where the deputy caught up with him and arrested him.

Glenn was charged with reckless driving, driving under suspension, failure to stop blue lights, disregarding traffic control device.
