Investigators say teen stabbed in City of Spartanburg

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Police responded to reports of a stabbing in Spartanburg on Wednesday.

Spartanburg police said they responded to reports of a fight between five females on the corner of Stewart and Owens Street around 5 p.m. The incident reportedly began near Owens and Duncan streets.

Investigators said a teenage girl was cut with a knife or box cutter during the altercation. She was reportedly sustained injuries to her face and leg and was transported to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center for treatment.  

Major Art Littlejohn said the victim's injuries were non-life-threatening.

Officers said no arrests have been made but they are talking to witnesses. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
