Greenville police opens communications center to public on Thursday

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville police are inviting the public to see how their 911 communications center operates on Thursday.

Officers will offer tours of the Communications Center and allow the public to try to code a 911 call, participate in Q and A sessions with dispatchers, and more.

Tours will be offered every half hour between 10 a.m. and noon, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

“don't miss this unique opportunity to meet the Greenville Police Department's Communications personnel, learn firsthand about the lifesaving work they do and get valuable tips for keeping you, your family and your property safe,” police stated in a news release.
