SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a domestic disturbance early Sunday morning.

Deputies said when they responded to the residence on Chapel Court, 39-year-old Ericka Williams said she had been beaten by her boyfriend and had lost hearing in her left ear.

She told deputies she sprayed him with mace after he choked her and bit her.

According to the incident report, deputies did not observe any injuries on Williams.

They did, however, report seeing visible injuries on her 52-year-old boyfriend and contacted EMS. The victim said when Williams came home after a party, they got in a verbal altercation during which she struck him with a blunt object and her arms. He told deputies he believed he dislocated his shoulder.

Deputies said Williams was placed under arrest for criminal domestic violence. During her booking, they said they learned she had a prior domestic violence conviction.
