CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

With tensions high in Charlotte since the shooting death of Keith Lamont Scott, extra security was deployed outside of Bank of America Stadium on Sunday for the Panthers' home game.

But the tough circumstances didn't stop an officer with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department from tossing a ball around with a group of children outside the stadium.

The officer, who was spotted by a FOX Carolina crew at the game, was dressed in full riot gear.
