EASLEY, SC (FOX Carolina) -

An Easley policeman was spotted going above and beyond the call of duty on Monday.

Several Upstate residents contacted FOX Carolina after seeing an officer with the Easley Police Department helping a woman change her car tire outside the Walmart Super Center on Rolling Hills Circle.

Witnesses Angie Galloway and Jayme Correia sent photos of the officer and said they hoped to spread more positive news in the Upstate.

The police department confirmed the officer involved was Ofc. David Stanley.

"The Easley Police Department is committed to fostering healthy public relations," said Captain R. D. Murray. "We are dedicated to our citizens and look forward to showing that we wear the badge for them."

Earlier this year, another Easley officer was seen helping a local woman mow her lawn.
