GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The American Red Cross said 22 people were displaced by a fire at a Greenville County apartment complex Wednesday morning.

The fire reportedly started at Boulder Creek Apartments on Furman Hall Road around 7:41 a.m.

The Red Cross said eight apartments were damaged by the blaze.

The disaster relief agency is providing financial assistance for food, clothing, lodging and other essentials, and comfort kits containing personal hygiene items. 

The Parker Fire District battled the flames and is working to determine what caused the fire.
