COLUMBIA, SC (FOX Carolina) -

South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley released a statement on Wednesday after a school shooting.

Deputies confirmed on Wednesday afternoon that a teacher and two students were shot at Townville Elementary School in Anderson County. The student taken to Greenville Health System is in serious condition, according to medical officials, while the teacher and student transported to AnMed are in good condition.

Haley, who traveled to Anderson County, released the following statement on the incident:

"As we work together with law enforcement to make sure they have the support they need to investigate what happened in Townville, Michael and I ask that everyone across South Carolina join us in praying for the entire Townville Elementary School family and those touched by today's tragedy." 

The governor landed at the Downtown Greenville Airport at 6 p.m. and will be meeting with school officials.
