Troopers: Pedestrian killed crossing I-85 in Anderson Co.

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said a fatal collision occurred on Interstate 85 on Wednesday night.

According to troopers, the crash occurred near mile marker 19 on the southbound side of the interstate at 10:12 p.m.

Troopers said a driver from Decatur, Georgia was traveling south on I-85 when he struck a pedestrian attempting to cross the interstate.

The driver was wearing a seat belt during the crash and was not injured.

The pedestrian struck by the vehicle succumbed to injuries at the scene. The coroner identified the victim as 54-year-old Charles Wesley Graddy.

No charges were filed in this incident.
