The Solicitor's Office announced the sentencing of an Upstate man after a bank robbery in 2015.

Solicitor David Stumbo said Shaquean Newjean Lewis of Calhoun Falls pleaded guilty on Monday to the armed robbery of Park Sterling Bank on Sep. 10, 2015.

Lewis entered the bank around 8:30 a.m. last year and forced employees at gunpoint to fill a backpack with cash. He was wearing a mask, but was identified by the bank tellers and later tracked down by K-9s.

Lewis was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
