TOWNVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Since the day of the shooting, the Townville Elementary community has remained #TownvilleStrong, and Monday was no different as a memorial grew larger and larger in front of the elementary school.

Parents and students dropped off balloons and all sorts of superhero memorabilia in honor of 6-year-old Jacob Hall. For many, the situation is still sinking in and hard to talk about, but leaving cards and flowers is helping them to heal.

Parent, Lisa Tyler, said it's important for the community to see the good during times of devastation.

"This can show her that people can come together and love each other even when bad things happen," Tyler said.

Several students stopped by their own elementary schools to contribute balloons and superhero memorabilia in honor of Jacob. People were leaving balloons, Batman or Ninja Turtles themed items for a little boy who loved superheroes and believed in saving the day.

The impact of that tragic day in Townville is still heavily present with students, staff and parents all over the Upstate, especially those who knew Jacob Hall personally.

"I bring flowers," one of Jacob's classmates said. "Our friend Jacob, he was a really good friend."

In the midst of the tragedy, school safety is at the forefront of many parents' minds as they are concerned for their child's well being.  However, instead of letting fear hold the town back, the community remains #TownvilleStrong.
