Many schools, businesses encourage superhero attire to honor Jacob Hall on Wednesday

Several schools and businesses are encouraging students and workers to wear superhero-themed clothing on Wednesday, in honor of Jacob Hall.

Jacob, 6, died after being shot at Townville Elementaryy School on Sept. 28. Jacob’s family is planning a superhero funeral for the boy on Wednesday. Jacob’s parents said he loved super heroes and want his funeral to be a fitting tribute for him and memorable for the other children who will be attending.

    Superintendent Dr. Joanne Avery said all schools in the district would be participating and would have a moment of silence at 1:42 p.m. Wednesday, to mark the one week anniversary of the shooting.
