Investigators, K9 officers unable to locate suspect after reported armed robbery at Upstate bank

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Investigators responded to the scene of an armed robbery at Peoples Bank in Anderson County, according to the sheriff's office.

The male suspect was armed with a handgun when he entered the Peoples Bank located on South Main Street on Friday around 5 p.m., reports said.

The suspect was wearing a khaki long sleeve shirt, blue jeans and a black ball cap and bandanna over his face during the armed robbery, the sheriff's office said. No injuries were reported.

According to reports, a K9 officer tracking team attempted to locate the man but were unsuccessful.

The case is currently under investigation.

This is the second time in a little over a month that an armed robbery was reported at the same location.
