GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The nation’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for the Alzheimer’s Association took place in downtown Greenville.

Participants gathered for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s event on Saturday at Fluor Field at the West End to raise awareness and funds for the Alzheimer’s Association. The funds will help with care, support and research programs.

Those who chose to walk in the event, which began at 9 a.m., were able to honor those affected by Alzheimer’s disease not only with the walk but with a poignant Promise Garden ceremony as well.
