GREER, SC (FOX Carolina) -

An Upstate firefighter was laid to rest on Saturday after being killed in a motorcycle crash.

28-year-old Adam Shaver of Taylors died Monday after troopers said his motorcycle was struck by a pickup backing out of a private driveway on Haywood Road.

Shaver worked as a part-time firefighter with the Lake Cunningham Fire Department.

Shaver’s fellow firefighters set up a memorial fund to help his family deal with funeral expenses.

Funeral services were held on Saturday at Wood Mortuary.

Saver leaves behind a wife and two children.
