Man dies at hospital after Anderson Co. house fire

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Anderson County Coroner’s Office said a 75-year-old man died at the hospital after being rescued from a house fire.

The fire broke out at a home on Gaffney Road just after 9 p.m. Saturday.

Officials said the man was pulled from the home and airlifted to the Augusta Burn Center.

The man, identified as Russell Roach, died at the Augusta Burn Center at 5:42 p.m. Sunday, Anderson County Deputy Coroner Charlies Boseman said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation
