Today won't be the last of the perfect 10's on the Carolina Skymeter this week.
Cooler and drier air has taken over across the Carolinas and Matthew is long gone. Quiet and seasonably cool weather will stick around through the week.
Dry and pleasant weather is in store for clean-up efforts along the coast as well. There are no more threatening tropical systems out there, as Nicole is heading north to Bermuda.
After a chilly start, the rest of the day will be sunny and mild with highs in the middle 70s for the Upstate near 70 for the mountains.
Wednesday will bring more sunshine and a temps a few degrees warmer. Highs will make it to 76 in the Upstate and 72 in the mountains. A cold front will drop in toward late week to reinforce the dry and mild conditions.
As our nights get cooler and days get shorter, we’ll see the fall color become brilliant across much of the mountains by this weekend. The reds, yellows and oranges will spread south into the Upstate toward Halloween and early November.
