GREENVILLE, SC (AP) -

An altercation at a Greenville County neighborhood ended in shots fired, according to Greenville County Sheriff's Office.

According to a deputy on scene, two cars of people were arguing over what may have been a previous tool theft before shots were fired into the area.

After the firearm was discharged the two cars left the scene and around six different deputy cars patrolled the area to locate the vehicles, the officer said. One of the cars involved may have been tracked down the officer said, and they are still trying to find the other vehicle involved.

No gunshot victims were located, only small physical damage from fighting.

Deputies spoke with the people in the located car and said there is conflicting information from both parties.

The case is under investigation.
