Law Enforcement agencies in Union County said two teens at two different schools were arrested after they were found with marijuana at school on Monday.

The Union County sheriff's office said a 13-year-old student at Sims Middle School was charged.

Deputies said the school’s principal was notified on Monday that the child suspect may have drugs on him.

A small bag containing marijuana was found in the boy’s backpack.

Union police said a 15-year-old girl was also charged after she was found hiding a clear plastic bag of marijuana in her shirt at Union County High School.

Both children were charged with possession of marijuana and released into their parent’s custody.
