CLEMSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Clemson Athletics is showing its support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month by raising awareness as well as money for breast cancer prevention and research.

Clemson Athletics and Dabo’s All-In Team Foundation are teaming up with Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital System, Coca-Cola, Southern Fried Cotton, Tigertown Graphics, Tiger Sports Shop and OOBE in support of October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The partnership is a part of an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease and support of programs seeking a cure.

During the month of October, Clemson and the All-In Team Foundation efforts will feature:

A custom-designed 2016 Tiger Breast Cancer Awareness Pin available at Clemson’s online store.

Special Clemson Women’s Pink Pullover designed and manufactured by OOBE available at the Tiger Sports Shop, in-store and on-line.

A special-designed “Howlin for a Cure” t-shirt offered by Southern Fried Cotton locations, in-store and on-line.

Special-designed “Fight Like a Tiger” offered by Tigertown Graphics available in-store and on-line. Proceeds go directly to funding the St. Francis Mobile Mammography van providing free mammograms and ultrasounds to deserving patients in the Upstate.

Clemson will wear special pink Nike gear during the Oct 15 game against North Carolina State.

Kathleen Swinney along with Coach Swinney will host the Tiger Call in Show On Monday, Oct 10 at 8 p.m.

For the week leading up to the North Carolina State game, supporters can text the word “Dabo “ to 41444 to donate to the All-In Team Foundation.

Proceeds from the sale of the breast cancer awareness items during the month of October will benefit Dabo’s All-In Team Foundation. The foundation raises funds for breast cancer prevention and research with an emphasis on local university research programs and efforts providing medical screening to local Upstate residents.

Kathleen Swinney has led the effort sending a message to women about the importance of early breast cancer screening and fundraising to provide early screenings to women facing inadequate access to medical treatment in the Upstate.

The cause hits close to home for Coach Dabo Swinney as his extended family has experienced first-hand the battle with breast cancer.

“I hope all Tiger Fans join in and support us as we try to beat this disease which has not only affected our family but so many Tiger families,” Coach Swinney said.
