TRYON, NC (FOX Carolina) -

After investigating a September fire, Polk County deputies said they made an arrest in connection with the incident.

Polk County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of a structure fire on Champion Road in Tryon, N.C. on September 22.

Deputies later determined the fire had been intentionally started as part of a domestic dispute, and 34-year-old Ascencion Ramirez Jr. of Asheville was charged with 2 counts of assault on a female, 2 counts of carrying a concealed weapon, domestic criminal trespassing and second degree arson.

No bond was initially set for Ramirez after he was charged.

A separate investigation prompted detectives to charge Ramirez Jr. with 3 counts of indecent liberties with a child on October 5. An $80,000 bond was set for these charges.
