Highs will approach the upper 70s in the Upstate with light winds mainly flowing out of the south southwest between three and eight miles per hour.
Look for western North Carolina to peak in the mid-70s with light winds as well.
Temperatures heading into the work week will really ramp things up, approaching record highs by Tuesday.
Typically this time of year, highs sit in the low 70s and upper 60s. Look for temperatures to peak up to 10 degrees above that as we head into the work week.
A cold front will likely approach the Carolinas late in the work week bumping temperatures back down closer to normal and bringing the return of wet weather to the region.
