MARIETTA, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A new fire substation was dedicated to an Upstate fire department on Sunday.

The Dacusville Fire Department was the lucky recipient of the new Dacusville Fire Substation located on 120 Hamilton Road in Marietta.

Community members were invited to celebrate the dedication with snacks, refreshments and a ceremony that included multiple speeches about the new substation and the Dacusville community fire protection.

The dedication ceremony ended with a fire hose uncoupling ceremony, similar to a ribbon cutting ceremony. A plaque was also presented to recognize all those who were involved in the substation planning and construction.
