GREER, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The coroner has identified the Upstate man who was killed in a crash Monday morning along Wade Hampton Boulevard.

Lt. Jim Holcombe said the car crashed into a telephone pole at 10:42 a.m. The crash happened on Wade Hampton Boulevard between Dill and Buncombe roads.

Twenty-one-year-old Dayquan Nesbitt of Taylors was traveling on West Wade Hampton Boulevard when his vehicle struck the curb and then a utility pole, overturning his car and causing Nesbitt to become pinned under the vehicle, the coroner reports.

EMS and the Greer Police Department responded to the scene.

Nesbitt was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Greer Police Department and Greenville County Coroner's Office is investigating this incident.

A GoFundMe account has been set up to help with Nesbitt's funeral expenses.
