WARE SHOALS, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Family, friends and neighbors have created a GoFundMe crowdfunding campaign to benefit Ware Shoals family that lost everything in a weekend house fire.

Jennifer Hammond sent FOX Carolina an e-mail about the collection efforts in wake of the fire, which she said broke out on Friday. She said the family has two small children, including a deaf daughter who attends the School for the Deaf and Blind in Spartanburg.

Below is a portion of Hammond’s e-mail.

“Saturday my Sister Stephanie Vaughn and Husband Terrylee Vaughn lost their home to a fire. They have two small children, Kaylee age 8 and Glenn age 5. Kaylee is deaf and goes to the SCSDB in Spartanburg. My friend Rebekah Trieper has started a GoFundMe page for this family. They lost everything. Red Cross did come out and help out so they could get a little bit of clothes and stuff. But they are having to start all over … They have nothing at this moment and I am begging for all the help they can get. I know God is going to protect and provide for them as He already has by getting them all four out of the house. They did lose a family pet and my niece was pretty devastated.”
