HENDERSONVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

A woman was robbed while making a bank deposit Monday night at BB&T bank in Hendersonville, according to the Hendersonville police.

Officers said the victim is an employee of Goodwill and was making a $2,400 deposit for the store at the BB&T near Dana Road and Martin Luther King Boulevard.

A second employee was watching in a separate vehicle when two men reportedly emerged from the shadows with their faces covered. Investigators said one of the suspects pushed the victim up against the wall while the other presented a handgun.

The employee watching from her car began honking the horn and the suspects fled, but not before stealing the deposit, according to police.

The victim was shaken up but uninjured.

Investigators said the robbery is being investigated as connected to a string of recent armed robberies in Henderson and Transylvania counties.
