GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Firefighters from the Greenville Fire Department said they were called to investigate a possible gas leak near the intersection of Rocky Slope and Woodruff roads.

Initial reports were that construction crews may have ruptured a gas line Wednesday morning in a neighborhood under construction

Will Broscious, a spokesman for the fire department, said no one was hurt and no evacuations were ordered.

Piedmont Natural Gas was called in and firefighters quickly left the scene after no threat was determined, officials said.
