Upstate man killed after struck by vehicle while walking in roadway

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Greenville County Coroner reports that a man is dead after he was struck by a vehicle in Greenville County.

Sebastian Tomas Gonzalez Sebastian, 58 of Greenville, was struck by a vehicle as he walked across West Blue Ridge Drive in the middle of the 1600 block, the coroner said. The incident occurred on Oct 15 at 8:30 p.m.

Gonzales Sebastian was transported by EMS to the Emergency Department of GHS where he was pronounced dead at 1:51 a.m. on Oct 16, according to reports. His cause of death was blunt force trauma of the chest, the coroner said.

This incident has been reported as an accident.

The case is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Greenville County Coroner's Office.
