Deputies: Runaway Seneca teen found in GA

MARTIN, GA (FOX Carolina) -

Franklin County deputies said an Upstate teen that ran away in Georgia has been found.

According to the Sheriff's Office, 16-year-old Jackson Murphy of Seneca was last seen on Nov. 1 around 4:45 p.m. At the time he was seen wearing dark jeans and a black hoodie.

Jackson is described as 5 feet, 8 inches tall with brown hair, brown eyes and glasses.

Investigators believed he may have been in the area of Pleasant Hill Road in Martin around midnight.

Deputies reported that Murphy had been found around 8:30 p.m. near I-85 and Lavonia exit after Franklin County deputies received a 911 call regarding the teen's presence in a local restaurant. While law enforcement responded to the restaurant call, Murphy left the premises and was later apprehended, said deputies.
