UNION, SC (FOX Carolina) -

An Upstate man is behind bars after reports say he shot at a deputy in Union County on Saturday.

Michael Anthony Wynn, 25 of Union, is charged with two counts of public disorderly conduct, according to an arrest warrant.

An initial call came in Saturday between 5 and 6 a.m. that Wynn was holding a female hostage on Lowry Street and that he was going to shoot if deputies showed up, reports say.

When deputies arrived on scene they said Wynn jumped in his car and sped away. They were able to stop him on Walker Street.

At some point during the pursuit, Wynn is accused of shooting at a Union County deputy, but no one was hit, the report said.
