Police: Drive-by shootings left houses, cars riddled with bullets in Spartanburg

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Spartanburg police are investigating two drive-by shootings in the same area of Palisade Street that damaged homes and cars in the neighborhood.

Police said the first drive-by occurred Friday evening shortly after 6 p.m.

Witnesses told police the gunfire came from a gold Honda. Three houses and a Lexus LS were struck by stray bullets but no injuries were reported, per investigative reports.

Shell casings were also found from two different caliber handguns.

On Sunday, more shots rang out in the neighborhood just after 11 p.m.

Police were in the neighborhood and heard the shots.

When they arrived on Palisade Street, they met with one victim from the earlier incident whose house had been hit by additional bullets.

Two other homes and a Dodge Nitro also sustained damage, per investigative reports. Officers found 9 mm, .40 caliber and .45 caliber shell casings on the street.

No suspects were named in the investigative reports.
