HENDERSONVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies in Henderson County said two individuals were arrested last week due to illegal possession and intent of distribution of drugs.

Detectives arrested 60-year-old James Franklin Henseley on Nov. 1. According to deputies, Henseley was charged with maintaining a dwelling for keeping and selling controlled substances (methamphetamine), possession with intent to sell or distribute methamphetamine, possession of firearm by a felon, misdemeanor simple possession of schedule II, schedule III and schedule IV controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies said they began the investigation because neighbors were complaining about suspicious acts around the area.

According to the Sheriff's Office, he was released the following day on a $18,500 secured bond.

In an unrelated arrest on Nov. 2, Franklin Hunt Jr., 35, was charged with the following offenses: possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, methamphetamine and oxycodone and maintain a vehicle/dwelling/place with controlled substances.

Deputies said the Sheriff’s Office and Direct Enforcement Team Detectives executed a search warrant around East Flat Rock. Detectives stated they located and seized crack cocaine, methamphetamine, prescription pills (oxycodone) and drug paraphernalia.

Deputies said Hunt was released on a $32,000 secured bond.
