Oconee deputies asking for help locating stolen ATV

WALHALLA, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Oconee Sheriff’s Office is seeking help in the investigation of a larceny that occurred last week in the Westminster area.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, a deputy from the Uniform Patrol Division responded to an address at Boat Ramp Road on late morning of Nov. 3 in regards to a reported larceny.

Deputies said that the victim stated two items, a 2014 Can Am Commander XT1000 side by side ATV and a sprayer, were taken from the victim’s property.

The ATV was described by deputies as yellow in color with a black roof, they also affirm that the ATV is reportedly registered in Pennsylvania and could still have a tag on the back.

Deputies said that the victim could not tell who could have taken the items. However, deputies stated that the victim told them about a car that drove up and down the road several times around the victim’s residence.

According to deputies, the victim described the vehicle as a small black car with faded paint, the victim could not identify the type of the vehicle.

The Oconee Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information about the case to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC or 864-638-STOP. All names and information given is anonymous and If tip leads to an arrest, the caller could be eligible for a cash reward.
