GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Greenville County deputies said a person of interest in multiple sexual assault incidents is now behind bars.

On Nov. 10, deputies released a sketch of the man who was a person of interest in a sexual assault that occurred near Fairmont Avenue on Oct. 17.

The man was said to be in his late 20s to early 30s, approximately 6 feet tall and weighing around 180 pounds. The man was driving a green, early 1990’s model Jeep Grand Cherokee, with a slim gold trim along the bottom of the vehicle.

“The Jeep’s back windows are tinted, headlights are dim and vehicle appears in bad condition,” Master Deputy Ryan Flood added.

On Friday investigators with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office announced that 28-year-old Markius Reshad Yeargin of Uneeda Court in Greenville had been charged in connection with two sexual assault cases that occurred in October of this year.

During the investigation, investigators were able to identify Yeargin as the suspect in the sexual assault incidents. On Thursday he was pulled over speeding in the green Jeep described as the suspect vehicle.

According to arrest warrants, Yeargin is accused of using a knife to force one victim into sex and sexually assaulting another victim at gunpoint. Warrants state he physically assaulted the victim and choked her, threatening to kill her.

Deputies said Yeargin was arrested and charged with two counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct, two counts of kidnapping, two counts of possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, attempted murder, reckless driving and disregarding a stop sign.

At this time, Yeargin is being held at the Greenville County Detention Center without bond.

A background check obtained on Yeargin from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division revealed prior charges for first-degree criminal sexual conduct, resisting arrest and drug possession.
