Report: Man found unresponsive outside Upstate bar

ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office are conducting a death investigation after a man was found unresponsive outside a bar in Anderson County Saturday night.

According to the report, sheriff’s deputies initially responded to Beer Belly’s located on Whitehall Road at 11:07 p.m. after reports of a fight in progress. When deputies arrived on scene they located an unresponsive male in the parking lot.

The male was taken to the Anderson Area Medial Center by EMS after the coroner confirms he suffered cardiac arrest secondary to an aortic aneurysm. The man's death was due to a medical condition.

In connection with the incident deputies first responded to, Wesley Evan Fountain, 22 of Anderson, was arrested for public disorderly conduct, the report states. Fountain is incarcerated at the Anderson County Detention Center.

The case is under investigation.
