The South Carolina Highway Patrol said charges are pending after a teen driver crashed into another vehicle, killing a man and injuring two other people in Anderson County Monday evening.

Troopers said the 15-year-old was driving a Mercedes on Moorehead Drive and crashed into the front right side of a Nissan that was traveling on Blackman Drive about three miles south of Pendleton.

The crash happened around 7 p.m.

The driver of the Nissan, a 45-year-old Anderson woman, and a juvenile passenger were hurt and taken to the hospital. The front passenger, a 35-year-old Anderson man, died at the hospital.

The teen driver was also hurt and taken to the hospital, troopers said. There was no mention of any passengers in the Mercedes,
