GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Greenville Health System Children's Hospital and Subway sandwich shops around the Upstate are teaming up for a one-day fundraiser to help children and families at the hospital.

According to a news release, Upstate Subway restaurants participating in the Subway Cares for Kids Day campaign on Thursday will donate a portion of the day’s sales to the GHS Children’s Hospital.

The participating restaurants are hoping to donate $25,000 that the hospital said would be used to help fill the Dream Gap, an array of services for patents and families at the hospital.

Hospital workers will also be serving as Subway sandwich artists at the restaurant located at 1119 Woodruff Road.

The GHS Children’s Hospital workers will be making sandwiches from 11 a.m. to noon.
