GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) held a chili cook-off to honor first responders and kick off the Tie One On for Safety campaign in Greenville on Thursday.

The third Annual MADD South Carolina Chili Cook-Off  was held at the Boiling Springs Fire Department on Blacks Drive.

2016 is also the 30th year for Tie One On For Safety campaign, which runs Thanksgiving through New Year's Day, and aims to eliminate drunk driving.

MADD says road travel is heaviest during the holidays and drunk driving cases increase.

Several Greenville County deputies were in attendance.
