GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office is asking for help identifying a man who deputies said assaulted a greeter at Walmart.

On Tuesday, deputies said the suspect attempted to shoplift two children's bicycles from the Walmart store on Woodruff Road around 1:30 p.m.

When the suspect was stopped by a store greeter, deputies said he assaulted the victim by punching him in the face, rendering him unconscious. He then reportedly fled the store on foot.

Deputies said they believe he arrived at the store in the vehicle captured on surveillance video.
