There are old tires, clothes, and trash all thrown in an alley that leads to a wooded area and a dead end just off Fairmont Avenue in Greenville County. The road winds just behind a Waffle House and it's also where a hunter found a burned body.

"It's been rough," Patricia Sexton said.

About 50 miles away from that discovery in Oconee County, Sexton still can't believe it happened.

"She was a good person. She did anything you asked her to," Sexton said.

A coroner identified the body as her niece, 34-year-old Henrietta Crawford.

"We loved her very much," Sexton said.

She says her niece used to live with her and they had a special relationship. "She's like my child,I half raised her," Sexton said. "Just all around good person."

Some of Crawford's family members say they don't know why she would be in Greenville County.  Investigators searched the area in Greenville County for evidence, but no arrest.

"I hope they find who did it," Sexton said.

She says the hardest thing about the case is not knowing why, or how her niece died, but she hopes Crawford didn't suffer long.

"I can't imagine her being burned alive," Sexton said. "That was senseless."
