GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Garth Brooks concert in Greenville Sunday night was extra special for one Upstate couple.

JT Thompson proposed to his girlfriend Shelby Armitrage during the show, and the country music legend himself got in on the act.

According to Thompson’s sister, Tonya Dill, someone on Brooks’ staff saw Thompson pop the question and arranged for the happy couple to be moved to the front row.

During the show, Brooks gave them an engagement gift they’ll never forget. He dedicated a song to them and even gave them a signed guitar.

A second engagement

Love was definitely in the air when Garth Brooks took the stage at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena over the weekend.

Kitty Stewart said her daughter also got engaged during Saturday night's show.

She said Tyler Shelley surprised Samantha Stewart, both from Ninety Six, by popping the question as Brooks sang "Unanswered Prayers."

"We were too far away for anyone to see, but it was still pretty special," Stewart said.
