Funeral plans announced for Cliff Barrows

CHARLOTTE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

A man who was long part of Billy Graham’s ministry will be laid to rest on Tuesday.

Cliff Barrows’ life and legacy will be celebrated during a public funeral service in Charlotte at 10:30 a.m. The funeral will be held at Calvary Church on Pineville-Matthew Road.

Barrows served as the music and program director of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. He began working with Rev. Billy Graham in the 1940s.

Barrows hosted the weekly Hour of Decision radio program for more than 60 years and was a member of both the Nashville Gospel Music Hall of Fame and the Religious Broadcasting Hall of Fame.

Barrows died on Nov. 15.

Following the funeral service, Barrows will be laid to rest beside his first wife, Billie Barrows, on the grounds of the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte during a private ceremony.

The library will reopen to the public on Wednesday.
