GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Officers with the Greenville Police Department say they conducted a prostitution enforcement operation last week that resulted in 43 people being charged with prostitution and drug related offenses.

The online prostitution enforcement operation targeted both prostitutes and ‘johns’ alike. It took place on Nov 16 and 17 with assistance from SLED and the Simpsonville Police Department.

Undercover detectives charged 43 people with prostitution and drug related offenses. They also identified one person who may be a victim of human sex trafficking. That case is being further investigated in coordination with Homeland Security.

Members of the public are encouraged to report any suspicions of drug or prostitution activity in their neighborhoods. They can do so anonymously through Greenville Crime Stoppers at 864-232-7463 or directly to the Greenville PD Vice & Narcotics office at 864-467-5313.
