WALHALLA, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Oconee County Sheriff's Office said that a man was arrested on multiple charges on Tuesday.

Deputies said 33-year-old Joshua Huskins of Hampshire, IL was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 10:36 p.m. yesterday.

According to reports, a deputy responded to a business parking lot on Sandifer Boulevard in Walhalla just before 7 p.m. after receiving reports of an altercation involving a firearm.

Reports say the deputy made contact with Huskins at the scene after witnesses, who were also victims in the case, identified him and the vehicle he was in.

Deputies said Huskins appeared to be intoxicated at the scene of the incident.

The deputy reported speaking with victims in the case and taking their statements that accused Huskins of using racial slurs against two of the victims and presenting a firearm. Victim statements said Huskins waved the firearm in the presence of all four victims in a threatening manner.

Huskins was arrested and transported to the Oconee County Detention Center where he was held on a temporary custody order. Wednesday, Huskins was charged with one count of breach of peace - aggravated in nature, and four counts of pointing and presenting a firearm.

He remains in custody at the Oconee County Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
