Dispatch: Escaped inmate located after jumping out of van in Greenville Co.

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office have located an escaped inmate who they say jumped out of a van and escaped Saturday morning, dispatch said.

Investigators received a call a little after 11:30 a.m. that the female inmate was either leaving the Greenville County Animal Care hospital or going to the center when she jumped out of the van and took off, according to dispatch.

A k9 team was dispatched to the scene to track the inmate.

The center is located on Furman Hall Road in Greenville.

The inmate's identity has yet to be confirmed. We are working on getting more details as well as information on any new charges that she may face.
