Police: Teen wounded in shooting near Greenville basketball court

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The Greenville Police Department said a fight near a basketball court sparked a shooting.

Officers were dispatched to Skyland Drive around 1 p.m. after multiple reports of gunshots. An 18-year-old gunshot victim was found near the basketball court.

He was transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers said the shooting was the result of a physical altercation and three different caliber shell casings were recovered form the scene.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME. Investigators said there were several witnesses but none have come forward.
