South Carolina Lieutenant Governor Henry McMaster began assembling a team to help him transition to the role of governor once Governor Nikki Haley is appointed Ambassador to the United Nations in early 2017.

According to McMaster’s office, he asked Columbia businessmen Ed McMullen and Bill Stern to assist him in planning. Both men were also leaders in President-Elect Donald Trump’s campaign.

Mr. McMullen has a 30-year background in public policy and public affairs and Stern, a commercial developer, is Chairman Emeritus of the South Carolina Ports Authority.
