Buncombe Co. Sheriff's Office accepting donations to help local organizations

ASHEVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

The Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office is holding its annual donation to benefit the Black Mountain Children’s Home, Elida and Helpmate on this holiday season.

“The donation drive gives everyone who participates an opportunity to give back to local organizations, some of our most vulnerable residents, count on for services.” Sheriff Van Duncan said.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking for hygiene items, clothing, sporting goods, home supplies and miscellaneous items such as family-friendly DVD’s, flashlights and gift cards to be donated.

The donations will be held from Dec. 9 to Dec. 11 at the Wal-Mart located on Bleachery Blvd.
